I got this watch for my 8 and 6 yr old boys to give my 8 yr old more freedom. They were pretty easy to set up, although one had a glitch with the sim card pins, which the fantastic customer service helped me diagnose and fix. The boys love them as their first every smart watch - they send us lots of texts and love listening to the free music. I love that the watches do not have games or internet and that you can turn it off during school hours. One drawback was that the boys were so excited about them they were fixated on them, but I'm hoping that calms down as they become more routine.

I am super impressed with this watch. My only complaint is that I wish I could have stumbled across this product sooner! Everything about this watch is top quality - clear voice calling, fun audio/text/emoji messaging & simplicity in design for kids to use! The watch itself is incredibly rugged & durable. I LOVE the ability to have complete parental control over the functions, it appeals to my â€œworry wartâ€ nature and all the risks of electronic devices in the hands of children. I couldnâ€™t be happier with this product, worth every single penny!!!

We will give this tonight, but set up was easy. Excited to see it in action! Update is that it isn't as great as we hoped... at least not for an 11 year old.  The only way to text is if the other people have the app and the entire process even once we explained it and got them to agree to put one more thing on their phones was not as intuitive as it needs to be.  The only app is the same one parents use, so it is very off-putting and seems wrong when a friend of relative is told to put the sim card in and it asks what kind of watch you have.   And on top of all of our concerns and frustrations, turns out kid things it looks too much like a toy and the name is "embarrassing" so she's been leaving it in her room.  I suspect for a young kid, it might be just what you want, but by the time you are looking for something for your older kid to talk to their friends, this just isn't what we hoped.  Phone and video work great, but in this day, we are teaching our kids to text before calling and be mindful of others around you so when the only real way to communicate is via calling, it's just not the right fit for us.  Super bummed as we did a lot of research, it just was not clear at all that you needed an app to use the texting.  Even once we got it to be honest (see my earlier review).

My son had the TickTalk 3 for the past year. Just got TickTalk 4 for xmas. Excellent GPS tracker and gives parents the piece of mind knowing where your kids are and they are able to contact you at any time. Love the improvements for vers 4. Free music, step tracker, improved cameras. Good job!

I ordered the phone on black Friday and received it the next Wednesday. Fast shipping! It is handy to come with a sim card, and it is easy to activate and insert the sim card. The app is easy to use. The GPS tracking seems correct. So far, my kid enjoyed his first watch phone.

We ordered a Kickstarter package for the new Tick Talk 4.  We were Tick Talk 3 users and our kids were very excited to get the new watch. One of the watches works just great, but the other had issues from the start.  The second watch would disconnect from the Red Pocket Service (plenty of minutes and data on the watch) while he was at school and it wouldn't exit "do not disturb" until he came home and we restarted the watch.  As this continued, one day the watch disconnected service and when we went to restart it, it never turned back on. We have mailed the watch back ( 2-3 days for them to get it) and they promised to inspect it ( 2-3 days to inspect it) and then go from there (another 2-3 days in the mail).

Its a great watch for kids but has a few flaws I'd love to see addressed. For one, the screen isn't as responsive to touch as I'd like. Sometimes you have to press the "buttons" on the screen several times for them to respond. Also, there's no way for the kids to text you back. They either have to use a canned response (which rarely match what they want to say), or they have to use an audio message which is annoying to have to waste time listening to. Texting is a must these days for any kid. Very shocked they don't have that option.

This product is absolutely amazing! So much better than the other child monitoring/communication device we had before! It's the only product in this category that I'll purchase in the future. We have 2 other babies that will need one in a few years. I only 4 stars and not 5 for 3 reasons. 1) I'd like to be able to see her gallery of photos and videos from the ticktalk app to see what she's been up to, and to clear her library if necessary. 2) I want to be able to see everything she's been listening to on the iHeart Radio app. Just because it says it's for kids, doesn't mean it's for kids. I heard some songs on the Kidz Bop playlist that has that list banned. 3) Geofencing. I'd like to be able set up a geofence that alerts me where she enters/leaves the area.

don't do it get a gizmo 3! so many problems within the first hour I had to call almost 10 times within just over an hour the watch got hot and the location showed 5 hours and 40 minutes away
 the first call fixed it but shortly thereafter within 10 minutes the service went off so I had my son turn the phone off and turn it on like the second representative said and it still wouldn't work. he got home and I immediately called customer service again and the watch was hot and it went from 26 to 30% charge when he left to 1%!! in less than an hour and a half! customer service said they our advice to tell the customer when things like that happen to return it and that's exactly what I'm doing I'm not taking my chances on another one because the 30 days goes from the first watch so I don't want another lemon. I called Verizon about the Gizmo watch and lo and behold the Gizmo 3 has video messaging and text messaging and much better coverage being from a Verizon network! even though I don't have Verizon myself, my child will still get his own phone number %26 financing is available as well as insurance! I should have called Verizon to begin with! don't do what I did go with the Verizon Gizmo three watch from the get! they have free 2-day delivery too! ❤️

Location tracker picks up strongest signal from public Wi-Fi, gps, or cell tower. Our experience was the watch picked up Wi-Fi units in our neighborhood so had our sons locations in our old home address and when he went outside it must've picked up a neighbors Wi-Fi and had his location in Vista, CA. We live in Phoenix.
