Every year when school goes back, our whole family gets sick. Is there anything I can do to boost our immune system? Are there any supplements I can give my kids to prevent them from getting sick?

Keeping a child up to date with their vaccines, ensuring adequate sleep, physical activity, and balanced nutrition, can all help in boosting immunity. Unfortunately, there is no quick fix supplement that parents can give to children to help boost immunity. I do not recommend multivitamins unless there are clear signs of nutritional deficiency, failure to thrive, or anemia. Most children who are gaining weight and growing well will not require a supplement.
