Mom life is a busy life, am I right? We barely have time to use the bathroom during the day, much less have time to blow out and style our hair every morning. Time may be limited, but with these five tips, you can rest easy knowing you don’t have to sacrifice feeling fabulous for the sake of time.

Don’t shampoo every day

Did you know that you can train your hair? Try to extend wash day by an extra day and then after a week or two you can skip another day in between washes. You’ll notice over time you will be able to go longer between washes without your hair having a greasy appearance. You can also use dry shampoo in between washes. Dry shampoo is a busy mom’s best friend! It will make your hair look and feel like you just washed it!

Braid your hair before bed

If you wash your hair before bed, skip out on drying and simply tie it back into a loose braid. Even if you don’t have time to do a full wash, simply wet your hair and braid it before climbing into bed. The next morning you can let that braid down and you’ll be left with beautiful beachy waves without any effort!

Deep condition

Use a coconut oil mask or another deep conditioning product every two weeks to keep your hair shiny, soft, and smooth, and, therefore, easier to manage and style.

Go for a low-maintenance cut and keep the ends trimmed

Dry, split ends are hard to tame. I know as a mom it’s hard to schedule time at the salon, but a routine, quick twenty-minute trim will do wonders for keeping your hair healthy and easy to manage. You should also keep your cut in mind when at the salon. An angled bob or bangs are going to be styles that take longer to style. Go for a low-maintenance cut that will take less time to dry and style in the mornings.

Add accessories

Headbands, scarves, barrettes, scrunchies, and claw clips are all great accessories that you can use to hide greasy or unmanageable hair. Simply pull your hair back, add in an accessory, and you’ll look completely pulled together with no effort at all!
