My 2-year old won’t eat meat. How can I introduce it into his diet?

  • Try offering soft versions of these foods, for example pulled rather than sliced chicken, and experiment with different sauces.
  • You can also mix meats with purées, such as ground turkey chili or broths like beef stew.
  • If your child is still rejecting meat in other forms do not engage in a tug-of-war over mealtime, which most likely will lead to frustration on both sides and further rejection.
  • Children who are more oriented to vegetables can derive plenty of proteins from lentils, beans, and chickpeas, and don’t forget about fish which contain excellent omega-3 proteins for brain development.
