Our favorite family activity in the summer, by far, is swimming! I would say we swim almost every day of summer break.
South Florida heat doesn’t joke around, and it is one of the ways we survive. Because we swim so frequently, I feel like I have some of the best pool toys around. Pool toys are so important. It takes swimming and makes it feel fun and new every day for kids! Introducing pool toys into your swim sessions is also a great way to motivate kids who may need to learn to swim! I would always reward my kids with playtime after they practiced the strokes, I wanted them to learn. Check out my list of favorite pool toys below. I hope they bring your family joy this summer.

Girls love these mermaids! It’s great for teaching kids to dive, too! These come in a 4-pack so your children can easily share and still have fun.

Toy Pretend Ice Cream Set
Kids love playing ice cream shop with these silicone ice cream cones. They come in fun colors and are dishwasher safe in case you need to wash them between swims. These are great toys for younger kids as well!
GoSports Splash Basketball Hoop
This basketball goal is the perfect pool toy for sporty kids. It’s durable and comes with multiple balls so you don’t have to chase one all around the pool. This will last all summer long! Slam dunking is not recommended!
Intex Inflatable Water Slide
Water Slides are by far my children’s favorite pool activity! This one is easy to inflate and can be pushed to the edge of an in-ground pool for hours of fun! My kids love this slide.
MorTime Inflatable Roller
These Inflatable Roller floats are so fun for older kids. They can roll or crawl through the roller and stay on top of the pool! These are very fun for playdates. Adult supervision recommended.
Water Super Squirt Soaker
Of course, this list wouldn’t be complete without a water gun! I like that these come in a 2 pack because let’s face it, water guns are only fun if there is a water gun fight!!! These shoot up to 32 feet. They come in 2 colors, so everyone can be happy and have fun.
