I won’t waste any time by saying that I think you should bring your little one to Walt Disney World. Before you tune out and label me as a “crazy Disney mom,” let me see if I can calm some of those concerns and share reasons why taking them to “The Most Magical Place on Earth” is worth considering.

Free Before Three

Did you know that you don’t age at Disney World? Often times parents want to plan a “3rd Birthday” visit to Walt Disney World, and as long as your day of check-in is before their third birthday, they are still free the entire trip. Children three and under do not need a ticket to enter the parks. For large families, this can really help save money.

There is so much for them to do, I promise!

Each park features many slow-moving attractions and shows that will keep your little ones engaged. Magic Kingdom has the most slow-moving attractions among the 4 parks. There are also many opportunities to meet and greet characters. I will share some transparency that little ones are sometimes scared of the characters. Personally, I have one child who is a total “fan girl” and one who is perfectly happy seeing them from afar. There is also just so much to take in and look see. It’s like a walk in a really cool park for them.

Convenient Baby Care Centers

Each of the four parks has a Baby Care center. You can find essentials like diapers, wipes, extra clothes, food, and formula for purchase in these areas. Baby Care Centers are also a great place to change diapers, eat, or just have a cool place to take a break. I have even utilized these facilities to pump on kid-free visits.

They might only remember parts of it, but you will remember all of it

One of the most common objections I respond to is, “I want to bring my child to Disney World when they will remember it.” Well, they won’t have a memory of it if you don’t take them. I would also argue that my children proved to me many times at a young age they remembered Walt Disney World. Even if they don’t remember, I know you will. You will remember taking them to meet Mickey Mouse for the first time. You will remember taking them on Dumbo for their first “flight.” Those core memories will be talked about for years and, hopefully, future visits to come.

So many options to make your stay more convenient.

Let’s talk about the most important thing, convenience. Because I know if it’s just too much work, it just won’t happen. Don’t want to bring your pack-n-play? No problem. The resorts can provide you with a pack-n-play, crib, or bed rails upon request. Need a stroller? There are many rental companies that will deliver a single stroller or double stroller right to your resort, and they are available to rent in the parks as well. Sometimes you don’t know if your little one can handle all the walking. They will rent you one at any time of day if you end up needing it.

There are so many resorts to choose from, but the proximity and transportation options can really make a huge impact on your day. The most favored resorts tend to be those on the “Monorail loop” Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Polynesian Village Resort, and The Contemporary, which is even just a quick walk to the park entrance. These three resorts are just a short monorail ride to and from the park which is perfect because you can push your stroller right on. This means no unloading, no nap interruption, and no stress. These resorts also feature many options for quick grab-and-go snacks as well as toddler-friendly splash pad areas by the pool. So once you wake up from nap time, you can have a snack and head out for some fun in the sun.

One of the most powerful motivations for me to become a travel advisor was to help families feel confident visiting Disney World. I believe with a bit of help and planning; you can take the intimidation away from this destination and focus on having fun and making memories. There is no better family destination than Walt Disney World, especially for those younger years. The only problem with starting them young is that they will continue to ask to go back once they start talking.
